Updated: Jun 21, 2020
Love is able to accept or tolerate delays, problems or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. It shows a friendly, generous and considerate nature.
Love does not have feelings of discontentment or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities or blessings.
It does not talk with excessive pride or self-satisfaction about one's achievements, possessions or abilities.
It is not having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance.
It is not offensively impolite or ill-mannered.
It is not selfish.
It is not easily annoyed or quickly excited to impatience or anger.
It does not express bitterness or indignation at having been treated unfairly.
It does not show great joy or delight at illegal or dishonest behavior, but shows great joy or delight with the quality or state of being true.
Love carries or supports all things, accepts as true and feels sure of the truth about all things, has feelings of expectation or desire for all things and suffers patiently and remains until the end of all things.
Love is never unsuccessful in achieving the goal.
